Crowned

Hey, champions and welcome to my Crowned Blog!

I’ll start by introducing myself! My name is Inez Walls and I am a writer, teacher and editor. My calling is to help people find their crown and champion their own life stories. I do this by creating inspiring books and pieces that echo my own testimony, teaching the practicality behind writing from a healed place and confidently expressing individuality, and by coaching writers as they complete manuscripts that then enter the editing process. I believe in catering to the aspiring writer and giving them a safe place to learn, connect, and grow.

If you are a poet, a writer, want to be an author, or if you’re just an avid diarist, you’ve come to the right place. This shall be your niche! On this blog, I’ll talk about how I found and realized my crown, but I’ll also empower you to find and realize your own. And I mean, it’s a blog, so I’ll have step-by-step posts about all things writing, poetry, editing, and creating!

1 Corinthians 1:26-27 AMP—“Just look at your own calling, believers; not many [of you were considered] wise according to human standards, not many powerful or influential, not many of high and noble birth. But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for his purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty].”

I believe every person has a calling. We have all been commissioned to fulfill God’s purpose, spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples. How we do that is up to us. We were given gifts and talents to use, not bury, while on this earth. The talent I have to write and the gift I have to teach have definitely come in handy as I fulfill God’s purpose. I’ve taught in a classroom for the past five years, making sure that I pour all that I have into the young minds that sit before me each day. I teach morality, kindness, respect and hustle. I teach that there is more than right now and that your current circumstances are not all there is for your life.

I teach my students the necessities for finding their own crown and championing each day. This scripture says that you may not be of noble birth; you may have some struggles that were passed onto you, there may even be some hardship and shame from your past BUT God is using those things reveal a bigger plan and purpose.

In my book, “Crowned Thoughts: The Evolution of Mindset” (purchase here), I talk a lot about who I was born to, how I was raised, and how that tried to shape my identity and mindset. As I’ve gotten older (today is my 27th birthday!) I’ve realized the frailty and the ignorance of this world. I had to switch my mindset and realize I was born with a crown. Yes, my crown may have been through a little more dirt and mud than yours, but it’s a crown nonetheless. I am royalty because of who I belong to eternally. I have royal blood because of who my heavenly Father is. No one of this earth, or under it for that matter, can disturb the crown that rests on my head. When I realized this, it changed the way I looked at myself and the people around me! I just had to write about it! Check out the book! It’s dope!

Not only did I have to write about it, I also have to teach others and coach others into this mental freedom. Mental freedom led to so much confidence, creativity and even income! Can I get an Amen?!

So y’all, I’m excited that you are here! I’m excited that you’ve jumped on this journey with me! This blog is an extension of my call, my purpose and a way for me to ‘cast my crown’ so that all who will listen will be forever changed.

Casting Your Crown, Part One

Humility defined is a modest or low view of one’s own importance. God tells us to humble ourselves before Him. The verse before this passage says God opposes the proud. Why? Why would God go against His own child?
